  • To register your dishwasher, simply visit, call Electrolux ICON at 1-877-4ELECTROLUX, or drop your product registration card in the mail.
    • You will also need to know your model and serial number to register, which can be found on the serial plate located on the right side of the door/tub. This information can also be found on your production registration card.
    • You will also need to know the date of purchase of your appliance, shown on your receipt.
Tip: It’s always a good idea to record your dishwasher’s model number, serial number, and the date of purchase, as well as to save your receipt.
  • Our Electrolux ICON dishwashers bring home the distinctive styling of premium European design. The beauty of the solid handle highlights the simple, yet dramatic lines of the sleek door. The flush-to-counter styling and integrated controls add to the understated elegance of the exterior. But the real beauty is what’s inside – ingenious features that make cleaning up after big parties or small meals a breeze.
  • The Electrolux ICON dishwasher is the quietest in its class.1 Your Electrolux ICON dishwasher will run at 45 dBA. It’s so quiet that you can run it whenever you want and no one will notice.
  • Electrolux ICON dishwashers use 41% less energy2 and 40% less water than they did 10 years ago. So they’re good to your dishes and the environment.
  • Products that are ENERGY STAR® qualified are equivalent to or better than standard products, with one important difference: They use less energy. To earn the ENERGY STAR rating, products must meet strict energy efficiency criteria set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency or the U.S. Department of Energy. Because they use less energy, these products save money on your electricity bill and help protect the environment by reducing harmful emissions from power plants. Plus, you get all of the features and quality you expect. For more information, see:
  • When shopping for an appliance, it's easy to recognize the ENERGY STAR® label that identifies qualified products. This label means that the product passed stringent standards set by the U.S. Department of Energy. Additionally, manufacturers are required to display their products’ test results on the ENERGY STAR® label. The label will tell you about the product's efficiency level, including approximately how much energy the appliance uses, its average annual operating cost, and how its energy use compares with that of similar products. For more information, see:
  • Electrolux ICON dishwashers have a variety of cycles for you to choose from, depending on your cleaning needs and preferred timing. The different options can impact the time it takes for a wash cycle to complete. Some options that impact the running time of a cycle include:
    • The delay start option, which will postpone the start of the cycle until the time you have selected. It is designed to allow you to control when your dishwasher runs – choose to have it run it when it’s most convenient for you, or to coincide with lower energy rates.
    • The sanitize option, which takes longer to wash and dry. This option uses higher heat for maximum cleaning, and offers maximum drying capabilities.
It can also be normal for the wash cycle to be momentarily delayed if water needs to be heated to the appropriate temperature. Although the time to wash and dry may seem longer than expected, you can rest assured that you are always being very responsible with our natural resources, because all Electrolux ICON dishwashers are Energy Star® rated.
  • If you see detergent remaining in the dispenser after a cycle is finished, try the following:
    • Be sure to use fresh detergent, as older detergent might not dissolve well.
    • Check to ensure that the spray arm is not blocked, so that water from it can reach the dispenser.
    • Check to see if the cycle has completed.
    • When loading the dishwasher, make sure the detergent dispenser can open freely.
    • Before you close the door, check that the upper rack is firmly attached to with the nozzle on the back of the dishwasher.
  • The high-efficiency fan of the Luxury-Dry™ System produces outstanding drying results. In addition, to ensure that your dishes are dry after your dishwasher cycle is complete, follow these steps:
    • Be sure the racks are loaded correctly. Cups and bowls should be loaded facing down, to allow for maximum drying and to prevent water from collecting in them.
    • Be sure the rinse aid dispenser is full, because the rinse aid is a very important part of maximizing your dishwasher’s drying capability. Check the low rinse aid indicator on your control panel and if it is low, refill the dispenser located on your dishwasher’s door.
    • Check to see that your water temperature can reach at least 120°F (49°C).
Here’s another tip: Simply use the hi-temp or sanitize setting for increased drying performance.
  • If it seems like your dishwasher should drain faster, try the following:
    • If your dishwasher is connected to a garbage disposal, run the disposal to clear the drain system.
    • If you have a new garbage disposal, or if it’s the first time you’ve used your dishwasher, the “knock-out” plug might need to be removed from the disposal. (This step can occasionally be overlooked during installation.)
    • Check the drain hose to be sure it is free of kinks.
    • Make sure the wash cycle is complete, and not paused.
  • In the unlikely event a leak should occur, the Leak Detection System should detect it and immediately stop and drain the dishwasher while sounding an audible and visible alert. To help prevent leaks, you can:
    • Be sure to wipe up any spilled rinse aid, because it can cause excess foam which might overflow.
    • Use only fresh detergent designed for automatic dishwashers, and be sure to carefully measure and use the correct amount.
    • Make sure your dishwasher is level on the floor.
  • If your dishwasher won’t fill, first be sure that your water supply is on and available. Once you’re sure that it is, add ½ cup of water to the bottom of the dishwasher and start it again.
  • If your dishwasher won’t run, check to determine if it might be due to one of the following reasons:
    • A circuit breaker is tripped in your home, or a fuse is blown.
    • The water supply to your home is not on.
    • The dishwasher’s cycle setting needs to be checked and adjusted.
    • The dishwasher’s DELAY START option was selected.
    • The door of the dishwasher is not completely closed and latched.
  • Etching can be caused by using too much detergent or by soft water, either of which can produce a film that cannot be removed. To help prevent this:
    • Adjust the amount of detergent you use based on the hardness or softness of your water.
    • Lower your water temperature, but be sure to keep it above the minimum recommended temperature of 120°F.
Reminder: The temperature of water entering your dishwasher may drop considerably in the winter, depending on where your plumbing runs in relation to the outside walls of your home. Check to see that your water temperature can reach at least 120°F (49°C).
  • If you see food particles on your dishes after they have been run through the dishwasher’s cycle, try the following:
    • Choose a cycle with a longer wash time, especially if dishes are extra soiled.
    • Be sure that the dishwasher racks are properly loaded. Avoid overcrowding.
    • Check with your local utility company to ensure that the water pressure in your home is between 20 and 120 psi (pounds per square inch).
    • Check to determine whether you have hard water. If so, you may need a water softener. To determine your water hardness, contact your water supplier or county extension office.
    • Use fresh detergent, because old detergent is not always effective.
    • Check to see that the dishwasher’s spray arms are not blocked.
    • Be sure that the water coming into your dishwasher is hot water. The water should be at least 120°F (49°C).
  • It is normal to see a small amount of water under the filter at the end of a cycle. If there is too much water at the bottom of your dishwasher once a cycle is complete, the dishwasher may not be draining properly, or its filter may need to be cleaned.
  • Depending on the model of dishwasher you have, you’ll know that the cycle is complete if you see the blue LED light shining on the floor, or if CLEAN is illuminated in the dishwasher’s display.
  • For the best drying results, choose the SANITIZE option and be sure to use a rinse aid such as Jet Dry®
  • To keep your dishwasher as clean as possible, follow these steps: Outside: Occasionally wipe the outside surfaces of your dishwasher with a mild, nonabrasive detergent and water, then rinse and dry. Stainless steel door: Clean the stainless steel door and handle with hot, soapy water and a dishcloth, then rinse with clean water and a cloth. Do not use harsh scrubbing cleaners – use only kitchen cleaners made especially for cleaning stainless steel. Stainless steel interior: Remove spots on the door and inside the dishwasher with a damp, nonabrasive cloth. Stainless steel filters: Your dishwasher is equipped with a state-of-the-art wash system. Periodically, you may need to clean the glass trap filter and the large food particle trap in order to maximize your dishwasher’s performance. The glass trap filter is located in the center of the large food particle trap, and is designed to collect pieces of broken glass, straws, bones, and pits. To remove items in the glass trap filter, grasp the handle, lift it out, empty it, and replace it. Tip: You can use a water filter attached to your dishwasher to help prevent iron deposits (which appear as a yellow or brown film) from forming on your dishes.
  • Electrolux ICON makes it easy to protect your dishes with the Sure-2-Fit™ racking system. It’s the most versatile racking system – there’s a perfect place for over 180 items, from chopsticks to stockpots to stemware.3 There’s also an adjustable/removable top rack for the utmost flexibility. In its lowest position select models have the ability to fit 10" dinner plates in the top rack and 12" dinner plates in the bottom rack.
  • Features like the Perfect Stemware™ cycle help ensure you have spotlessly clean stemware. To further help your dishes emerge from the dishwasher spot-free and with no cloudiness, try the following:
    • If you have hard water, you may need a water softener. To determine your water hardness, contact your water supplier.
    • Avoid overloading or improperly loading your dishwasher.
    • Use the appropriate amount of fresh detergent. Sometimes old detergent doesn’t fully dissolve – and this can result in streaks or spots.
    • Be sure the rinse aid dispenser is full.
    • You can check with your local utility to ensure that the water pressure in your home is between 20 and 120 psi (pounds per square inch).
    • Be sure that the water coming into your dishwasher is hot water. The water should be at least 120°F (49°C).
