Kitchen Appliances - Ranges
What should I do if my range does not appear to be level?
If your range does not appear to be level, try the following:
- Adjust the range’s leveling legs. It’s possible that your oven was not level when it was installed. To check this, simply place a rack in the center of the oven, then place a level on the rack and adjust the leveling legs.
- Check your kitchen cabinet alignment. The position of your cabinets may make your oven appliance appear to not be level. Be sure your cabinets are square, and that they leave sufficient room for appliance clearance.
- Be sure your kitchen floor is level. Check your floor to be sure it’s level, strong, and stable enough to adequately support the appliance. If the floor is sagging or sloping, you might want to contact a carpenter to correct it.
