Sometimes my dishwasher doesn’t seem to drain all the water out of the bottom. What should I do?

If it seems like your dishwasher should drain faster, try the following:

• If your dishwasher is connected to a garbage disposal, run the disposal to clear the drain system.
• If you have a new garbage disposal, or if it’s the first time you’ve used your dishwasher, the “knock-out” plug might need to be removed from the disposal. (This step can occasionally be overlooked during installation.)
• Check the drain hose to be sure it is free of kinks.
• Make sure the wash cycle is complete, and not paused.
